What’s the Difference Between AHAs and BHAs?
The main difference is oil solubility. AHAs (alpha hydroxy acid) are water-soluble only, while BHAs (beta hydroxy acid) are oil soluble. This means AHAs work on the skin’s surface,They help peel away the surface of your skin so that new, more evenly pigmented skin cells may generate and take their place. whereas BHAs get down into the pores to cut through pore-clogging oil.
Salicylic, Lactic, and Glycolic Acids
Provide gentle exfoliation. Help reveal softer, smoother skin and encourage cell turnover. Exfoliating your skin is necessary for skin health and normal function.
