Mistaken Returns
Ensure you enclose the correct and complete item when making a return. The correct item must be returned to receive a refund.
Amazon does not store items mistakenly sent to us and instead donates, or recycles them, when appropriate and possible. If you accidentally sent the wrong item to Amazon, please contact Customer Service as soon as possible. Amazon cannot guarantee your item will be found and returned, and no compensation is provided for incorrect items sent to Amazon.
Amazon Global Store Return Policy
It can take up to 25 days for an item to reach us once you return it. Once the item is received at our fulfillment center, it takes 2 business days for the refund to be processed and 3-5 business days for the refund amount to show up in your account.
For most Amazon Global Store returns, you will be provided with a pre-paid UPS return label which allows you to return the item(s) to any UPS drop-off point located across the US. You can find your most convenient UPS location using the following link:

Not all Global Store items are eligible for a pre-paid return. In this case, you will need to return the item at your own expense. We recommend you return the item(s) using a trackable method at the carrier of your choice.
Amazon will automatically refund up to $20 for return postage costs on receipt of the item. If your return postage costs exceed $20, you may contact our Customer Service Center to request a refund of the remaining postage cost. If you return a defective, damaged or incorrect item, you’ll be refunded the full postage cost, as well as your Import Fees Deposit, once your return is processed.
Seller Return Policy
When you order from a seller that fulfills and ships its own inventory (also called a third party seller), your return is sent back to the seller instead of Amazon.com. While most sellers offer a returns policy equivalent to Amazon.com’s, some seller returns policies may vary. You can view the return policy of the seller before you purchase an item by viewing the Returns and Refunds Policy section of the seller profile page. To view the seller’s return policy, once you’ve ordered, you can select your order in the Returns Center.
Third-party sellers must either provide a return address within the United States, provide a prepaid return label, or offer a full refund without requesting the item be returned. If a seller does not offer these methods to return your items, you may file an A-to-z Guarantee claim to seek help with your return.
If you are sending the item within the United States and the order is valued at $100 or more, insure the shipment for the value of the merchandise and ship your return with a signature shipping service. Items valued over $35 must be returned to the seller with a trackable shipping service. For items below $35, we suggest USPS delivery confirmation service. If a package doesn’t arrive and you don’t use a trackable method to return or if you refuse the shipment as a method of return, we may not be able to cover you under the A-to-z Guarantee.
Note: If the seller’s listing is eligible for Amazon Prime, it will be subject to the same return policies as items fulfilled by Amazon.com that are outlined on this page.
Delivery with Services
Returns or exchanges for items purchased from a third-party seller that provided a Delivery with Service (in-home unpacking, installation, assembly, etc.) have to be scheduled by the seller.
During the scheduled return pick-up, the seller will uninstall or disassemble, and pick up the item.
All sellers participating in the Delivery with Services program are required to support scheduled return pickups or exchanges.
If a seller does not offer these methods, or is non-responsive to scheduling an appointment to return your items, you may contact the Amazon Home Services team, or file an A-to-z Guarantee claim.
If a Delivery with Services item is missing parts or damaged through customer misuse, the customer may be charged a restocking fee based on the condition of the product.
Amazon Devices
Amazon-branded devices such as Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets, Amazon Fire TV devices, and Echo devices and their accompanying Amazon-branded accessories purchased from Amazon.com can be returned within 30 days of receipt of shipment as long as they remain in the same condition as the date of purchase.
All Amazon-branded devices and accessories that are returned and for which a refund or replacement is given will become the property of Amazon upon receipt.

Amazon Fresh and Grocery Items
Grocery items (including Amazon Fresh items) and wine are not returnable to Amazon but may be refunded or replaced. See About Spilled or Damaged Amazon Fresh Items for information on requesting a refund.
Amazon Handmade
Products sold by Handmade Makers are subject to the standard A-to-z Guarantee policies for Amazon. The exception to this are items that are purchased with optional customization options, other than size and color. See Customized Products for additional details.
Amazon Photos
Amazon Photos printed products are not returnable to Amazon but may be refunded or replaced.
Amazon Pharmacy
We’re unable to accept returns. This includes 6-month supplies of a medication, if your prescription changes, and you need to switch medications. If you notice any quality-related issues like errors of tampering with an order you have received, please contact Amazon Pharmacy Customer Care at 1-855-745-5725 immediately.
Amazon Renewed
Products on Amazon Renewed are backed by the Amazon Renewed Guarantee where specifically mentioned on the product detail page. With this guarantee, you are eligible for a replacement or refund within 90 days of receiving the product (or within 1 year of receipt of a Renewed Premium product) if you are not satisfied.
Amazon Renewed products can be returned within 90 days of receipt of shipment (or within 1 year of receipt of a Renewed Premium product), and qualify for free return shipping.
Amazon Warehouse
In most cases, used or open box items purchased from Amazon Warehouse and shipped from Amazon.com can be returned within 30 days of receipt of shipment. Some products have different policies or requirements associated with them.
Certified Refurbished items sold by Amazon Warehouse can be returned within 90 days of receipt of shipment.
Automotive Items
If you’ve purchased a defective automotive item, shipped from and sold by Amazon.com, that is covered by a published manufacturer warranty, Amazon honors the warranty. Amazon will either replace the item or refund the cost of the item for the life of the published warranty.
Baby Items
Baby items can be returned within 90 days of receipt of shipment.
Gifts purchased from a Baby Registry can be returned within 365 days after receipt of shipment.
Breast pumps must be returned unused in their original condition with the factory seal and packaging intact.
If your return is not a result of an Amazon error, we won’t refund the original shipping fees.
Birthday Gift List
Items purchased from your Amazon Birthday Gift List as a gift can be returned within 90 days of delivery.
Items purchased by the registry owner are subject to the standard 30-day Amazon.com Return Policy.
Clothing and Accessories
You can return clothing and accessories up to 30 days after the delivery date.
Items from The Drop Collections are eligible for returns, but a return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund due because the item is made-on-demand for you.
Collectibles (sports & entertainment)
You must return collectible items with a value of $35 or more using a trackable method. Items with a value more than $500, must also be insured.
All product packaging (boxes, manuals, warranty cards, etc.) and certificates of authenticity, grading, and appraisal must be returned with the item.
Any items returned without original documentation will be rejected.
Before shipping a return, photograph the item for your records.
Custom Gift List
Items purchased from your Amazon Custom Gift List as a gift can be returned within 90 days of delivery. Items purchased by the registry owner are subject to the standard 30-day Amazon.com Return Policy.
Customized Products
Customized products include products that are configured, personalized, or inscribed; for example, engravings, stamps, monograms, embroidery, embossing, etching, carving, or printing. Customized products sold by third-party sellers fall under the A-to-z Guarantee. To file a claim for these items please note the following:
Notification to the third-party seller within 14 days of receipt of item for return.
Due to personal configuration, inscription, or design on these products, the third-party seller is not required to accept returns or exchanges unless the products are damaged/defective upon arrival, or materially different from what was ordered.
If there is a misspelling or error in the configuration, inscription, or design due to a mistake by the third-party seller, you are protected per the Amazon A-to-z Guarantee.
All product packaging (such as boxes) and if applicable; certificates of authenticity, grading, and appraisal must be returned with the item. Products missing all their applicable tags are not acceptable for return.
Jewelry and Watches
Jewelry and watch items with a value of $35 or more must be returned using a trackable shipping method.
All product packaging (boxes, manuals, warranty cards, etc.) and certificates of authenticity, grading, and appraisal must be returned with the item.
Any items returned without original documentation will be rejected.
Items that have been resized, damaged, or otherwise altered after delivery won’t be accepted for return.
Luxury Stores
The following guidelines apply to all return-eligible Luxury Stores products, and returns that fail to adhere to these guidelines may be rejected. Beauty products made of hazardous materials, including flammable liquids or gases, are not returnable to Amazon. These products will not display a ‘’free returns’’ message on the product detail page.
Luxury Store products must be returned in new, unused, and unaltered condition. This includes any attached tags (product tags and security tags), and where applicable, hygiene seals.
Product packaging and documentation should also be returned with Luxury Stores products. For packaging, we seek the brand packaging (provided by the luxury brand directly, different from the Luxury Stores packaging). For product documentation, this includes any certificates of authenticity, grading, warranty cards.
Items must be returned using the return label we provide. In rare cases where a return label is not provided, items must be returned using a trackable ship method and be insured for the value of the merchandise and shipped with a signature shipping service.
If we have concerns with authenticity or the condition of the return, we may provide a longer return processing window to evaluate with the brand owner, and this may impact the timing of any applicable refund.
Major Appliances
Major appliances are returnable for any reason within 30 days of receipt of purchase
At the point of delivery, unbox and check that the item is correct and free from damage. If the item is wrong or damaged, tell the delivery personnel and don’t accept the delivery. They will help you to arrange a free replacement or a refund.
If you notice that the item is damaged or defective after delivery, Amazon will help you solve the problem, or provide a free return or replacement.

Mattresses
You can request a return or refund for any reason within 100 days of receipt of shipment.
We accept the return of mattresses that are unopened and in their original packaging.
Unboxed, expanded, and full size mattresses are not returnable, but are eligible for a refund.

Refunds
When you return an item, your refund amount and refund method may vary. Check the payment method refunded and the status of your refund in Your Orders.
How Long Do Refunds Take?
When returning an item, you have the option to choose your preferred refund method in the Online Returns Center.
After the carrier receives your item, it can take up to two weeks for us to receive and process your return. We typically process returns within 3-5 business days after the carrier delivers the item to our Returns Center. When we complete processing your return, we issue a refund to the selected payment method. Learn how to Track Your Return.
Instant Refunds
If you want to use your refund without waiting for us to process your return, you can select the Instant Refund option, if available. Instant refunds are either refunded to your credit card or issued as an Amazon.com Gift Card balance. You’ll still need to return your items within 30 days.
Refund Times
Once we issue your refund, it takes additional time for your financial institution to make funds available in your account. Refer to following table for more details.

Note: If you no longer have the physical pre-paid credit card, we still store the card within your account. You can use the card toward future purchases. For orders that used the Amazon Currency Converter, we issue the refund in your local currency using the same rate as the original order.
Gift Returns
The type of refund or credit a gift recipient receives depends on how the giver purchased the gift and how the recipient returns the gift. For more information, go to Return a Gift.
Amazon may determine that a gift recipient is eligible for a refund without requiring a return. If a gift return is eligible for a refund without returning the item, the gift recipient receives a notification in the Returns Center or via Customer Service.
